Luella Love

Due to my poor time management, I barely have time to sleep right now let alone blog...really shouldn't have started this up when I'm so busy, oops. Basically a What I Did This Week (Mostly) post plus many more coming soon, for now I have been procrastinating on weheartit.com and just wanted to declare my love for Luella, I really miss it.

Wish List 01.

1st Row: Bird Print Skirt, Ring, Star Ring, Lace Peter Pan Top, Cake Days

2nd Row: Coral / Black Crepe Skirt, Loafers, Panda Print Skirt

I nearly always screen-print clothes I see online that I want, so I thought a (not all too original I know) weekly wish list post made perfect sense. I actually started compiling this days ago, but only finished it today because I got ridiculously addicted to the Radio 1 longest broadcast ever, which gave me the perfect excuse to indulge in my insomniac tendencies, and then I just got rather fed up yesterday after my day started with a horrible run in with the cleaner (I live in halls) and didn't really get any better. I wore my comic relief t-shirt (Vivienne Westwood designed dont'cha know, I have the Shakespeare one!) and sulked that I wasn't at home watching the, usually pretty enjoyable, funny exploits of Red Nose Day on TV.

Anyway, onto the wish list. I love these two River Island skirts, the green one is actually brighter and much nicer in real life, but they're a bit pricey so I'm not sure I can justify buying both, think these need to be tried on...I also found these more affordable basic skirts on Miss Selfridge, the black would get more wear, but I love coral so I'm torn. Basically I want new skirts! I love rings, and some of mine have fallen apart recently so I want more. I've seen a version of the black one in store that's a pearly aquamarine type colour, which is also gorgeous but not on the website. I fell in love with the New Look top a while ago, it disappeared but now seems to be back in stock online so hopefully they'll have some more in the shops. I could really do with some new shoes, and at the moment I keep noticing loafers. I am a massive fan of the Hummingbird bakery, I got their first book a while ago and love making their vanilla cupcakes. Since moving to London I have become slightly addicted to red velvet cake from their Soho bakery in Wardour Street. This week their second book is released, and I can't wait to try out some more of their recipes, in particular the mocha cupcakes.

p.s I realise the irony of talking about wanting things in the same post as mentioning comic relief. I have donated money I would otherwise probably spend on much of the above though, so this is definitely a wish list and not an I am going to buy all these post. You can and should donate here.

Last Week I (Mostly)...

Buckingham Palace (you can vaguely see the flag, she was home!)
/food from Now/boys/Buckfast/me in my messy uni room.

-Procrastinated so bad that I had to pull an all-nighter in order to get my assignment done. I always tell myself I won't, yet I do it again...

- Acted like a tourist in London with my good friend Naomi. We had pizza in Covent Garden, wandered alongside the Thames and saw landmarks including the Eye and Big Ben. The next day we visited the Tate Modern (my very overdue first visit!), Buckingham Palace, and I finally ate at The Diner, which had such a good atmosphere, loved the authentic design too.

- Felt a bit 'special' after bashing my toes, spent the rest of the week limping.

- Spent time with the boyfriend who came up to look after my limping self. We had a feast of free food after a card mix-up from the lovely people at Now and made curry for James & I on Saturday, a night that started with us having a quiet meal and ended with Buckfast & vodka drinking until 6am, oops. Incidentally we didn't make it to the Sunday UpMarket as planned, but stayed in pyjamas eating bacon sandwiches & drinking Berocca. Next weekend it is...

- Rediscovered my love for Mystery Jets. This video is brilliant.
